The FGIS acts as a financial partner of establishments in the health and education systems to improve the living conditions of the Gabonese population.
OPN
The National Pharmaceutical Office (OPN) is the public procurement center for medicines and other health products. Its mission is to supply public health structures as a priority and has a monopoly on all medicines in hospital form.
Following the adoption of a government reform in 2020, the FGIS took over the management of the OPN and injected 5 billion CFA francs to bring the OPN back into balance and guarantee universal access to medicines, in especially for the less fortunate.
