The Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS) aims to invest for the realization of shared prosperity in Gabon.
The impact of FGIS investments should enable the growth of Gabonese SMEs/SMIs, the main job creators in the economy, and make the funds intended for future generations profitable. The investment policy on Gabonese territory must be consistent with the objectives of Gabon's Emerging Strategic Plan and promote the diversification of the economy. Thus, exposure to the international price of oil will be reduced in order to ensure the sustainability of income for future generations.

Four areas of intervention stem from this desire for impact: the development of essential infrastructure, support for small and medium-sized businesses to promote job creation, particularly for young people and women, land use planning and the strengthening of the social sectors, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This new strategy is aligned with the key responsibilities entrusted to FGIS in the 2021-2023 Transformation Acceleration Plan which sets the Government's roadmap.
