The Investment Committee

The Investment Committee is the executive body of the FGIS General Management where decisions regarding investments, disinvestments, equity investments, commitment partnerships and withdrawals are taken.
The Investment Committee rules on the planned investments and disposals, potential partnerships and commitments submitted to it.
The Investment Committee must deliver a reasoned opinion on the commitments that should be made or not, after analyzing the various risks.



Certified public accountant, Serge Thierry Mickoto started his career at Ernst & Young in the audit and advisory department.

In 1994, he joined the Paribas Group who then became a few years later BGFI Bank.
He successfully occupied the positions of CFO and General manager of the Equaorial-guinea subsidiary. He was also Deputy General Manager of BGFI Holdings.

Serge Thierry Mickoto is appointed CEO of the Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund in 2012 where he has the major responsibility to foster the values of the FGIS according to the strategic vision of an Emerging Gabon.



In his capacity as Chief Financial Officer of the FGIS, Simon is responsible for managing the finance, administrative and support functions within the organization.

Before joining the FGIS, Simon Essono served as an accountant at Colgate Palmolive in Johannesburg and as a Consultant Auditor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Gabon.

Simon Essono is an Accounting graduate from the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) and is an ACCA finalist (United Kingdom).



Ismaël ONDIAS joined the FGIS in 2014. He is in charge of the development the direct investment activity and also monitors and manages the Gabonese government’s portfolio of holdings.

Before joining the FGIS, Ismaël Ondias served during six years at the BNP Paribas bank in Paris in the Finance Energy & Commodities Department where he became Vice-President. Prior to that, he was as a Financial Analyst with Citigroup and HSBC..

Ismaël Ondias graduated in Economics from the University Paris IX Dauphine. He also holds a Specialised Master degree in Finance from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP Europe) and a Masters in Project Finance & Structured Financing from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.



Romain Deniel joined the FGIS in 2013.

He is involved in deal sourcing and the structuring of socially responsible investments.
He received a Master degree in Hedge Fund and Private Equity from the University of Monaco, a BBA from the Institut
Supérieur de Gestion in Paris as well as a Certificate in Financial Management from HEC Montreal.

Roman is a Gabonese, fluent in English and French.



Tepuarata Brinckfieldt joined the FGIS in 2013. She is in charge of the management of the funds in which the FGIS is a shareholder.

Tepuarata began her career in Paris within the Calyon shipping finance team and then served for a year and a half at AXA Private Equity within the Funds of Funds department. She carried on with her career in the private sector in Gabon where she contributed, inter alia, to the development of major structuring projects in the energy, construction

Tepuarata studied at ISC Paris and Arizona State University. She holds a Master degree in finance. She is fluent in French and English and has some knowledge of Spanish. Spanish.
